Eating out in Crieff

For a small country town, Crieff offers the visitor a remarkable variety of opportunities for eating in or out!

There's a surprising number and diversity of cafes, coffee shops, restaurants, inns and pubs with a wide choice of styles, prices and cuisines - so for the self-catering visitor it's easy to find and afford meals and refreshments other than in the cottage kitchen.

Among Crieff's many interesting and often privately or family-owned shops you'll also find not just the best of local gifts and knitwear but also excellent, fresh local food to take away from bakeries, delicatessen and other outlets.

Every second Saturday in the month, the Crieff Country Market provides a great opportunity to sample and buy local produce along with craft and other products, and if you visit the market during the Drovers' Tryst walking festival in October you'll enjoy a particularly strong flavour of the history of the town, in which famous characters such as Bonnie Prince Charlie, Rob Roy Macgregor, Robert Burns have featured.
