Raising funds for
The Margaret J Gordon Art and Craft Trust
The course is set in a very beautiful area above Loch Earn and is a test of fitness and character. Leaving St Fillan's, the course takes you through forested areas until you emerge into beautiful Glen Tarken and Glen Breich with panoramic views over the loch and the hills around you. Some times you will be fortunate enough to hear the Stags bellowing which is a magnificent sound indeed. The course is 18 miles long on tracks of differing conditions, with both uphill and down hill challenges.

The Margaret J Gordon Art and Craft Trust was established in memory of Margaret J Gordon, with the aim of promoting art and craft in classes one and two in the primary schools of central Scotland. She was a very fine artist and loved doing craftwork, so this is reflected in the Trusts work. Each year, children are invited to submit artwork or craft work to be judged, which is used to create a twelve page calendar. The calendars are on sale, so raising more funds for the Trust. All children receive a prize and certificate for their skills.
She was also a keen cyclist, swimmer and hill-walker, when in good health. The Trust is establishing a yearly programme of outdoor fundraising events which are fun, enjoyable and at the same time a challenge, including the sports that Margaret loved.
